I started taking the Manuka honey because I had terrible, terrible sharp pain in my stomach, excessive burping and bloating, and I felt full when I had hardly eaten, just a few bites of food. Additionally, i started taking the honey after the doctor did test on me. The doctor ordered a barium upper GI which came back normal. However, no ulcers, no acid reflux, no masses, no gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining), nothing, zip, nada. Yet, I knew something was terribly wrong as I was very sick to my stomach. Even though the test results showed no abnormality.
Similarly, in my research, I learned that the Manuka Honey “completely inhibits the growth of H. Pylori bacteria”. As I work with my Doctor who believes in the conventional medical treatment, I have decided NOT to use the antibiotics and antacids which can make the problem worst and the H. Pylori resistant to antibiotic treatment, but I will take the Manuka Honey daily for 6 months, 2 tbs daily, and then take another blood test to see if the H. Pylori is eradicated. So…..Lord willing…meaning that if I am still living on the planet…. therefore i will write another review and let everyone know the outcome, whether the Manuka honey killed the bacteria for good or not.
But in the meantime be assured that it is very helpful for stomach disorders, and I might add it taste really good too. By the way i never liked the clear yellow processed honey processed elsewhere at all, but now I love the Manuka honey and plan to keep it around. I hope my review helps you.
